World Osteoporosis Day: it’s time to beat the break!

An Australian Idol judge living with osteoporosis and a former Olympian pole vaulter will join forces tomorrow on World Osteoporosis Day (Wednesday, October 17) to inform Australians that it’s never too early to beat and never too late to treat osteoporosis.

Mark Holden and Tatiana Grigorieva will partner with leading osteoporosis experts to release new research* revealing that more than 80 per cent of high risk people remain uninvestigated or untreated, despite the introduction of osteoporosis treatment guidelines over the past year.

The new research will also encourage people at risk of developing osteoporosis to know and reduce their risks, whether lifestyle or modifiable, genetic or fixed.
