Sarah Mathiesen holds a Bachelor of Journalism from James Cook University, North Queensland.

Sarah enjoys the challenges of healthcare PR, is proud to be part of an industry that is consistently evolving, and is passionate about improving the lives of the people she encounters in the course of her work.

Sarah has worked on various health campaigns involving issues management, prescription and over-the-counter medication, medical devices, vaccination, disease state awareness, not-for-profit organisations and research outcomes.

Sarah's public relations expertise covers developing and implementing medical and consumer news media campaigns; issues management; copy writing; conducting interviews, and shooting and editing audio/visual material.

In 2009, Sarah was involved in the launch of landmark Australian research; a successful nation-wide campaign that was recognised with awards at state and national levels by the Public Relations Institute of Australia.

Before joining the VIVA! team, Sarah worked in the Corporate Communications division of Townsville City Council. Sarah has also read the news for radio station, Triple T, Townsville and has frequently had work published in local magazines and newspapers in North Queensland, Australia.
